Spring Term: Fused & Stained Glass Class Open Studio II/III

This course in glass fusing will be suitable for the beginner and for those with some experience in fusing and slumping. Students will learn the process of working with glass in a kiln and will learn the basics of operating a glass kiln. Colour and layering techniques will be explored as well. Along with glass fusing, traditional stained glass will be explored. Techniques and procedures for each will be explained allowing each student will have an opportunity to explore their own projects, such as a set of coasters, a small plate and decorative pieces. There will be time for experimentation and development of each student’s creative colour and design ideas as well.

Please bring a sketchbook with you each class. A material kit will be provided at a fee of $95 for a 9″x12″ piece. Additional glass can be purchased for larger projects if needed.
