Art with Your Heart: An Intuitively Guided, Mindful, and Colourful Painting Experience

Intuitive painting is a mindful, expressive, and healing way to create. Intuitive painting is about allowing yourself to follow your flow, having a joyful art making experience, and letting go of our expectations. It is a practice of being in the creative act. In this workshop, we will be introduced to the basics of Intuitive Painting, learning to notice our inner experience while creating, and learn art-based mindfulness techniques to open our connection to our intuition. Together, we will get to do a mini exercise called “Colour Craving”, which allows us to let loose and tap into our child-like free play, as well as create an Intuitively guided Tree of Life Painting on canvas, based on this month’s inspiration theme: “Groundedness”. 

The instructor, Raine, will support and lead the group through the intuitive process of creating a Tree of Life, but is also very open for folks to explore whatever feelings, imagery, and direction manifests throughout the painting process for them.  The practice of being in the creative act take us step by step through whatever wishes to be manifested upon the canvas surface. This is an opportunity to safely, and with support and guidance, explore new things, be colourful, and take risks and chances in our artmaking! Let us dive deep into re-framing our painting experience into something bold, intuitive, free-flowing, and full of aliveness!
