This course will focus on learning the basics of using a woodburning tool, including how to prepare a surface for burning, transfer patterns, safety, and techniques for employing the various tips. However, students will also learn more intermediate/advanced techniques, including adding texture, highlights, and shading to a variety of images and surfaces. While patterns will be provided, students should also feel free to be creative and pursue projects of interest to them. 

While all materials and tools will be provided, anyone with their own woodburning system or woodworking tools is encouraged to bring them.
