Come enjoy a variety of Painting mediums at The Art School of Peterborough. Be introduced to different techniques and ideas that will broaden their knowledge towards making art. This fun filled class is geared to ages 10-18 who enjoy creating. All projects will allow students to stretch their imagination beyond their normal limitations. Be a part of this fun creative group. This year we are asking students to bring their own pencil cases with general supplies: pencils/ or pencil set, white eraser, scissors and ruler along with a sketchbook. Additional supplies will be noted in the outline if needed.

Teen Painting Only Outline

• Colour theory/colour application (tools)
• Monochromatic painting
• Value painting matching monochromatic from previous week
• Lighting (still life)
• Watercolour techniques 
• Watercolour masters painting
• Under painting/staining canvas/prepping surface
• Using prepped surface to find a composition/focal point 
• Pallet knife painting 
• Mixed media
