25 years ago the idea of an Art School was formulated out of a conversation in Lakefield. Driven by numerous creative individuals and headed by Richard Hayman, they laid down the foundations for the school. Documents of incorporation were drawn up, and a not-for-profit status was granted. The Lakefield School of Arts was born, later to move to Peterborough in its present location, where it became The Art School of Peterborough in 1995.

Wishing to celebrate this accomplishment, we will host 25 special events this year!
