Spring Term Courses

Spring term runs from May 1 - June 5. We offer a wide variety of mediums they are able to explore through painting, drawing, pottery jewellery, mixed media, manga, photography, printmaking, fused glass, stop motion and more! Stay tuned, our Spring courses will be available online shortly!

Summer Art Camps

Register today for an exciting week of creative adventures! We offer camps in mixed media, pottery, animation, all girls camp and more. 5 Day Camps - Non Members Fee: $225, Members Fee: $202.50

Match Art Show Opening

Join us at Launch gallery on May 5 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm for the opening reception of our Match sports show! Artists from different backgrounds have come together in tribute to sports. Enjoy seeing a variety of mediums celebrating the athletic world. Exhibition continues to May 26.

The Art School of Peterborough

Founded in 1993 by Richard Hayman, The Art School of Peterborough provides excellent art instruction to the people of Peterborough and the surrounding communities. The Art School of Peterborough is dedicated to providing a professional level of instruction in a wide variety of studio media to both adults and children. No prior art training is necessary and there are no entrance requirements or examinations.
We offer year-round classes for adults and youths/teens. The Art School of Peterborough is a not-for-profit organization with charitable status.

We are currently looking for volunteers who are wishing to help with special art events, assist our instructors during art classes, office assistants and so much more!

ASOP membership

Members will receive 10% off all courses and workshops. You will also have the opportunity to exhibit in the Art School of Peterboroughʼs membership art show. Have an effect on policies and the organization of the Art School with voting privileges at the Annual General Meeting.

Individual membership: $40 /yr
Family membership: $60 / yr

Birthday Parties

Bring the gang to the Art School to have your party. We provide the art supplies, fantastic instructors and the space for your group to have a blast. Best of all, we clean up the mess. Drawing, painting, manga, cartooning or mixed media projects available.
Parties are 2.5 hours: 1 1/2 hours of instruction, with the final hour to wrap up your party with cake and gifts (not included).
Ages 6 – 12
$190 for up to ten children; each additional child $20

We also offer pottery birthday parties for up to ten children for $225.

PA Days

2015 - 2016 school year

There's no better way to spend a PA day! Young artists will enjoy participating in an exciting day of creativity. Activities include drawing and painting, and multi-media projects. Bring your own lunch and snacks, (no nut products please).
Spaces are limited so early registration is recommended.

Before and Aftercare hours from 8:00am – 5:15pm, additional $10 per child.

Ages: 5 - 12
Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Cost: $45 per camp
